Early Years of Agriculture was completed in May 2009. In this painting I wanted to paint a scene that might have taken place on the farm before the arrival of modern technology such as the tractor. The farmer relies upon the mule to provide the necessary horse power to till the land. The old barns worn appearance represent the many years they have served as shelter for livestock, supplies and farm tools. The windmill provides the water resource that is a vital part of the farms existence.
