"Doves Descend Upon Sunflowers" was completed in 2009. I really enjoy capturing the golden colors of the afternoon. I focused on the transition of yellows to blues in the background to illustrate the distance in the horizon. This presented the opportunity to show the gracefulness of the doves as they ascended upon the sunflower field. Painting is in excellent condition and the colors are rich and vibrant. This painting would be a great focal piece in a home.
